w530 delivery issues?

Has anyone been having trouble with Lenovo? I've had two IBM thinkpads in the past. This will be my first Lenovo thinkpad.
I ordered a W530. The ship date has slipped twice. The current ship date is now displayed as yesterday, lol. Lenovo has not responded to an email.
IBM thinkpad support has always been first class.

They seem to be building them in batches. An extended period where none (or few) ship -- leaving lots of buyers wondering what's happening -- then a sudden mass shipment that clears the queue. Rinse. Repeat.
I got mine a few weeks ago, and was apparently lucky enough to place my order only a week or so before the next batch shipped.

Tnx skriefal. It's somewhat good to know that I'm not the only one wondering, what the #@$%?
I did not know that this issue has turned into a thread, lol. I miss the days of IBM.

I got an email saying the Thinkpad has shipped and 7 hours later an email saying they were sorry but it will not ship for 1 week. Right now the Lenovo site says,
View the status of a single order
Please check back later to view your order. System updates are made four times a day.
I miss IBM.

I've bought 3 Thinkpads from Lenovo so far and they've all arrived before their posted "estimated ship date". If there is an issue here I don't think it's a "Lenovo vs. IBM" issue, just an issue with this model maybe.
