W530 Trackpoint buttons Functionality Change

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a W530 Thinkpad and I noticed that I don't use the Trackpoint and Trackpoint buttons.

I want to change the functionality of the left and the right trackpoint buttons to behave like Up and Down buttons.

How can I change their functionality, is it possible?

i don't think so..
unless you can write a mouse driver that would separate the trackpad from the trackpoint and decode the trackpoint buttons to something other than left, center and right buttons..

but then i'm no expert these days..
