FNet HybriDisk Cache Software

#1 Post by Takeda » Wed Feb 05, 2014 9:49 pm

I presently have a MyDigital 128GB SSD on order for my W540. I will be installing it in the mSATA port, I have a 1TB Hybrid drive installed in the HDD bay. I'm running Windows 7 OS. I noticed that the 128GB SSD comes with FNet HybriDisk Cache Software. Does anybody have any experience with this software, and is it worth installing?

I have found the HybriDisk CACHE software will cause BSODs, and cause the audio to break up intermittently. Lenovo L2 have verified these problems. I'm presently running ExpressCache software without a problem. With the 128GB SSD CACHE, I partitioned 50GB for CACHE, and I'm using the remaining 78GB for working storage. I used this link to configure the ExpressCache software for >32GB:

An update: Instead of mSATA port on my W540, it should have been the M.2 port. The Mydigital 128GB SSD failed, and I've upgraded to the 256GB version, which hasn't been received yet.

Besides the 128GB SSD failure, the W540 has performed great.
