Ubuntu + W530 + Mini Dock Plus = No DVI

Good Evening,
I have a W530 with the K1000M GPU. I also have the Mini Dock Plus Series 3 - USB 3.0 - 170W.
The reason for buying the dock was to get my W530 to completely replace my desktop. So, I need it to connect to my two external monitors via the DVI connectors on the dock.
So far I've been unsuccessful. My monitors do not remain on digital input and just flip back to their analogue inputs (as my PC is connected to them too).
In the BIOS I've tried every combination of display settings:
Integrated only
Discreet only
Optimus + OS detection disabled
Optimus + OS detection enabled
Within Ubuntu I've installed Bumblebee + nvidia v331 drivers so the OS can switch back and forth between the integrated and discreet GPU's on demand.
Within the nvidia settings tool I am unable to get the DVI monitors to be recognised.
Has anyone tried this configuration? It seems like it should be a common configuration.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
RobC
