I need help to decipher the abbreviations in the FRU parts list, starting at page 12.

There are these types mentioned: CHY, SRX, LTN, CHY PRIMARY, SRX SECONDARY, LTN SECONDARY.

CHY is obviously Chicony, but what about the other ones?

Thank you.

So, Chicony, LiteOn and Shenzen Sunrex Technology. Further searches show me that the W540 dropped Sunrex.

I suspect that Lenovo keeping as a supplier only the company that made the worst and cheapest switches tells me everything I should know about quality. But on the faint hope that I'm overreacting to this, how is the LiteOn quality, since Sunrex is no longer an option?

The SRX keyboards had some quality issues, maybe they were dropped because of that.

As far as I know, the LiteOn keyboards on the new ThinkPads (Tx40 / W540) are considered better than the Chicony keyboards. I myself have the Chicony keyboard in my T440s, which I consider good.
