W530 Battery Issue

I have been having an issue with the 9 cell (70++) battery that came with my W530. Over the last couple of months, its been acting strange, the cycle count never seemed to update, when in stand by it would drop 2% moving from one room to the next. I mostly run on AC and have multiple AC adapters so that I don't have to lug one around. It also would start charging even though I had set the limits to begin at 75% and stop at 96%, it I removed it from the W530. I spoke with customer support at Lenovo last week and they told me to do several steps, one of which was to run the reset gauge, which I did this past Saturday. I started it around 1:30 pm and it finished around 10:30 pm. I don't know what really happened but when I checked the battery information, my cycle count had increased by 2 and my remaining capacity had decreased from 97% to 93%. This battery has been in service since 03/2014 and was manufactured in 032013 with a cycle count of 6 over 11 months. I've been using Thinkpads since 1994 and never have had to reset them.
Is there a problem with this battery? IBM (Lenovo's service provider) told me to do this, but now I don't know what to expect? I only have 4 weeks left on the 1 year battery warranty. I have another W530 and I'm not experiencing any of these problems.

TIA

Have you tested the battery in the other W530? If you get the same result, I would just have the battery replaced under warranty. If the battery is OK in the other machine, something is probably wrong with motherboard or charging circuit in the laptop.

Good idea, I hadn't thought about that. I've used the other battery in the primary W530 but not the other way around. I'll try that.
