I addition to a VGA connector, I have a mini display port connector. Can I run two monitors from these ports? One to an HDMI and the other to VGA.

Graphics adapter is NVIDIA Quadro K1000M. OS WIN 8.1

I bought a Belkin,mini displayport to HDMI cable. Plug and play on W530 win8.1 Now running a monitor off VGA and another off HDMI. Works perfectly.
