Issues with initiating dvd interface

Hello - for some reason I am unable to intimidate a dvd playing in our L540.

Is there an app I need to use? Nothing is readily available from the obvious menus.

I realize that this is a stupid question, and at one point previously I got the DVD player working, but we we have a 4 year old who is dying to watch videos on a 4 hour flight tomorrow.

Please help!
