I have a bios problem That won't allow me to boot from a USB or CD. I've tried changing the boot order which didn't work and I also tried changing some of the other settings such as UEFI or Legacy.. There's no supervisor password setup so there's no secure Boot
I also have a couple hackers that live in this house with me which is what got me started on the bios in the first place
Take a look at our

Go into BIOS and then to Startup
Set UEFI/Legacy to Both
Set its Priority to Legacy first
Set Boot list F12 option to Enabled
Go click on Boot at the top of the page
Move USB HDD to Position 1.
Move ATAPI CD0 to Postion 2.
Move ATAPI HDD0 to Position 3.
Save settings and reboot with your USB-stick inserted.
Press F12 immediately and select USB HDD or ATAPI CD0.
That should work.

Re: bios problem. wont allow boot from cd or usb
Thanks for all of your help, it sort of worked but it also turned out that my installation CD was problematic but you got me to the point where I was able to boot from a USB which in turn allowed me to wipe out my hard drive which was my original goal.
Problem is is that if you use an application to edit security settings in the registry. you can not ever reapply those security settings to the registry it deletes them in a manner that they cannot be restored without doing a complete backup of the registry.
So now that I'm able to completely restore this computer I'm going to be looking for ways to allow for tighter security from the BIOS not to the BIOS. Learned my lesson on this one.
Thanks again.
