Hi,
been reading up on the internals of my better used (i.e mint) w530 that i received one week ago, both as for (if possible?) unlocking the GPU (k1000m is apparently a locked down 640gt that only uses 192 shaders vs the 640s 384 shader units). Do anyone know if there exists any soft-mods of any kind, or even video bios means to unleash what is most probably hidden inside this hardware? (even some way to extract the video bios of the nvidia gpu would be great since i'm currently also running osx sierra on it and would love to get the nvidia gpu working and not just only the HD4000 igpu).

Re: K1000m unlock shaders
Im interested in this too!
We need to figure out if the k1000m chip has the shaders etched off/ Physically blocking, If so no bueno.
I can try flashing a vbios for the K2000m on my K1000m to see what happens.
