Anyone go to Wi-Fi 6 on a W540?

#1 Post by CharlieDog » Sun Dec 19, 2021 12:39 pm

Thinking of replacing my five year old router with a new Wi-Fi 6 one for our home network, and wonder if it would be worth upgrading my W540 to Wi-Fi 6 also? Is it as easy as just swapping the WLAN card? TIA

If there is no whitelist it's just a matter of swapping out the card, I guess. I believe the W540 uses M.2 cards, so it's pretty much a straight swap. I'm not sure if the processor matters for CNVi, though.

You need to remove the wifi-whitelist before.
