L440 Supervisor PWD recovery with Joe's KMX1 - Eeeprom location

#1 Post by neukrisz » Sun Jan 10, 2016 5:30 am

I have to recover the forgotten supervisor PWD with Joe's KMX1 tool on an L440 unit but I don't know where is the chip itself.

Please help me if you can!

Thanks in advance!

Look for an L08 chip.
And how about asking that (in)famous Joe?

Many thanks!

ps: are you sure in that KMX1 will work on this system? (just because on the T440 doesn't work...)

Never used or seen such a KXM1, but those L08 chips are all the same, so why wouldn't it work?

Just realized you need an SPI programmer for newer machines like T440/T540, W540 and likely your L440.
Your KXM1 is in that case useless here.
