New Yoga 910 broke by Win10 update.

#1 Post by Greg Gebhardt » Sat Aug 26, 2017 9:42 am

Purchased Yoga 910 with the 1tb SSD from Bestbuy about 3 months ago. All has worked fine until a week ago when I got up and did a few chores around the house, only to return and all that was on was the Lenovo Splash screen. I feel like it did a Win10 update and rebooted to this. I can hold the power button and turn it off. It will turn on but with in a few seconds, back to the slash screen. Tried the paper clip thing and pushed the tiny button in and nothing. I can not get it do anything.

I want to get it repaired but do not want to send it off with all my data on it. It is too late to return it.

Anyone have any suggestions to get this up and running so I could at least reset it and sell it on Craig's List. I have purchased a Thinkpad P51 to replace the Yoga and I do not want to just toss the Yoga in the trash.

Help me if you can.

If you know anyone with the same laptop model, have him/her make a restore disk (on an 8GB USB flash drive), then use it to reinstall Windows on your machine.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons

Do not know of anyone. I also do not think the Yoga is going to even see the jump drive.

Thanks for the suggestion.
