Alright, I'm new here and I've got a bit of a problem... I have a Yoga 14 (20FY0002US Basically, the Best Buy version of the Yoga 460) that had been working great until I did something dumb and recently had to recover it using the official Lenovo recovery media download.
The problem is, after finishing everything, my entire Yoga reports itself as the Yoga 460 (Still 20FY though) instead of the 14 in both Windows Settings and in Lenovo Companion/Vantage.
The problem with that is that when it checks for updates in Lenovo Companion/Vantage, I'm pretty sure it searches for Yoga 460 updates now, and usually that won't be a problem since I'm pretty sure they're the same laptop anyway, but I've recently been offered a BIOS Update for my Yoga that"Fixes a security issue" which I want to apply. I don't want to risk flashing a Yoga 460 BIOS on my 14 though. What should I do, and how do I fix this so it properly detects my Yoga.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yoga 14 Model changed to Yoga 460?
Re: Yoga 14 Model changed to Yoga 460?
I'm pretty sure all updates (including BIOS) are only ever searched by type number. The string representation of a machine name is taken from some database somewhere, and if that changes, the name may change, but it should not affect the way updates are delivered.
FWIW, it seems that Yoga 14 20FY, Yoga 460 and P40 Yoga share the same BIOS anyway:

Re: Yoga 14 Model changed to Yoga 460?
That's great news, actually, but still extremely annoying that this can't be changed... Any ideas if it's possible to fix this anyway? It still bugging me that Lenovo wouldn't think of such an obvious problem...
Re: Yoga 14 Model changed to Yoga 460?
I actually don't know. Mine still says "Yoga 14" in the description, but I never went through the process of restoring it from the recovery media. It's still running on its original installation, except it's been upgraded to Win10 RS3 through the various patches.
