Yoga 260 high CPU usage by system interrupts FIX

#1 Post by kitor » Mon Jan 29, 2018 5:31 pm

As I'm selling my Yoga and after Win10 factory reset I found this problem again, lets save this for others.

If your Yoga 260-
- shows quite high CPU usage by system interrupts
- has "unknown device" in device manager that's on Elan bus - and it won't accept any Elan (touchpad) drivers

Open "system devices" in device manager, look for another ELAN SMBus device, try to upgrade driver. It will show you... ELAN drivers and... Intel CPU drivers.
Guess which one is correct? Of course Intel one.

After changing driver, unknown device disappears as well as high CPU usage problem.
Hope this will help somebody, as I had to find this myself (found only a single record about this unknown device, but without fix mentioned)

Thanks for posting this. Someone is bound to experience the same issue.
