Hi everyone.
After naysaying 6rows the thinkpads for some years now and after the FHD mod cable gave in after almost to years I caved in to a TPY370. All nice, a pleasant screen, however battery-life never got above 4hrs in real use. Notebookreview got in test above 8 hrs. Notebookcheck got to Idle (without WLAN, min brightness) 19h 23min, NBC WiFi Websurfing Battery Test 1.3 (Edge 38.14393.0.0) 8h 08min.
Config: i5-7200, 8GB RAM, 256 NVMe SSD by Samsung MZVLW256HEHP-000L7, FHD.
Real use for me: Opera with about 70/80 tabs, Calibre, 5 word files concurrently, 2 PDF's in Adobe, Citavi Reference software, Notepad, Calc
Running in the background (systray): One Drive, BitDefender, f.lux,
Am I unrealistically expecting more than 4 hours?
What's your experience?

Re: Yoga 370 Battery Life
Try cutting down on your ridiculous amount of open browser tabs.
For regular stuff you shouldn't need more than maybe 10-15 tabs max!
If you use OpenOffice (Calc?), it is recommended to switch to LibreOffice instead.
And OneDrive eats your battery if you are not signed-in, or are syncing a lot of files.

Re: Yoga 370 Battery Life
And double the memory from 8GB to 16GB matched pair if you can get swing the expense This will cut down on swapping and speed up at same time but easy on runtime.
Re: Yoga 370 Battery Life
Thanks! Will do try. I do not have other addictions than multiple tabs, I'll try to gradually reduce . The 16GB is on a wishlist, but it has to be a conscious purchase as it will on a onestick (which of course is more expensive) only as the TPY370 has a single memory slot.
Otherwise, I'll experiment shutting down onedrive when on battery. By Calc, I was referring only to the Calculator application. For office apps I use Office 365.
I am also tempted to roll back to Windows 7. It seems that other brands have had their battery life reduced after the 2018 April Windows 10 Update, hence my wondering.
