X1 Yoga Gen3 Boots on it's Own

I have an X1 Yoga 3Gen and I love it. However, sometimes when I shut down, a few minutes later, it will boot up on its own. I notice that sometimes when I shut down, the FNLock light stays on. It is only then, will it sometimes boot back up on its own. When I shut down and the FNLock light stays on, I have no way to restart except to hold the power button for 10 seconds. Then the light goes off and it is truly shut. If I leave it with the light on, sometimes it will restart itself, sometimes not. I had a T400s once that booted up by itself. And a T23 or T21, can't remember which. That was a long time ago, past the limits of my memory. Anyone else have an X1 Yoga that does this? Anyone have a solution to the unattended reboot?

I bet you run W10 on that machine.
Does it also do that if you press/hold Shift and then select Shutdown from start menu?
Have you tried running Linux on it?

Yes, I use W10, I have work software that does not run under Linux. I will try holding shift and see how it goes.

I tried the Shift-Shutdown. One time it worked. The next, it left the key lit and I had to hold the poweer button for 10 seconds to shut all the way down in order to start up again. Third, as soon as all went dark, it rebooted immediately (!). Fourth and fifth times, it worked. I wonder why when the key is left lit, the computer wont start unless I hold the power button for 10 seconds to shut it down all the way first. Maybe this is related to fast startup - I will disable it and see what happens. Maybe that will solve the problem. Yet another Windows mystery.

It looks like some driver (or faulty hardware) is preventing your system from suspending. It gets stuck in a transitional state, and eventually crashes and reboots (unless you perform the hard shutdown earlier).

Shift-Shutdown is supposed to bypass fast startup, but for some drivers there will still be a suspend-resume-shutdown cycle, for whatever reason.

Been through this many times while debugging network drivers...

I have had both suspend and hibernate turned off, never use them. But now that I have fast startup turned off, I got 4 good shut downs in a row, so we'll see. It is an intermittent issue, so it may still reappear.
