Hello, I've been collecting Thinkpads for a little while now. There is a Yoga 11e close by for like, 47 dollars. It has the N3150 processor, 8gig ram, and 128gig SSD running Windows 11. My question is, is it worth messing with for 47 dollars, or less, it's been up for a while.
My Thinkpads;
X31
T430
T470
E530
E550

Nice laptops. The Yoga 11e would really stand out for the worse in this collection. Win11 on a low-power Celeron, yikes.

If I could, i'd drop it to windows 10 or Mint Cinnamon. Do you know what gen it is? I'm thinking late 4th or early 5th?

At home, there's a Celeron N3160 laptop with 4GB RAM and 120GB SSD that nobody uses because it's hideously slow. If you're getting anything with a Celeron, I suggest finding one with the later N4100, N4120 (both Goldmont Plus), or N5105 (Tremont).

the N3000 Celerons are even slower than C2Ds
Truly a nugget.

Clock per clock, yes. The only things going for them are the low power consumption and having 4 CPU cores.
You probably need one with the Tremont CPU architecture like a Celeron N5000 or Pentium N6000 series to surpass Core 2 Duo's performance at the same clock speed. The succeeding Gracemont cores used in the N100 are even faster, as it's roughly on par with an i3-6100.

True, C2Ds can't beat Celerons in terms of power efficiency.
But I don't think 4 cores really matter when two of those 4 cores can't match a single C2D core.
I don't think there is any reason to get a laptop with a Celeron older than Tremont.

Thank you everybody! I shall not bother then.
