#1 Post by Ignorant » Sun Feb 14, 2021 2:11 am

I am posting it here as i didnot know where to ask for it
Type 2765-T6U
Intels display driver gives 1440 X 900. for discreate graphics the driver I got from somewhere is for is
for 3470 . It gives me 1152x864,1024X764(recomeded),800X600.
Which is the correct driver for my WXGA+ CCFL .I want 1440X 900 driver
I have disabled switchmode in the bios. windows 10...
but i can do with a w7 driver 64 bit.

Err...installed w7 switchmode graphics 64 bit driver ...works...Lenovo site....(end of life ...Lenovo)...
query:
If in Bios i disable switchable graphics mode detection...then which driver does it use..?
How can I go back to WDM 1.1 / as there does not seem to be any advantage for my NON graphics works
which does contour clipping as a computational requirement..
will explore again after getting ear soothing sound for watching movies....

That's a T400, which runs about the same hardware as my X301.

I downloaded the 8.15.10.2869 Windows 7 64 bit driver from Dell (latest supported for this chip), modified the .inf file to get it to install on Windows 10 and then disabled the requirement for drivers to be signed (search for how online). Works perfectly and seems to offer exactly the same functionality as in W7. OpenGL 2.1, DirectX, all.

But there is the general W10 problem that the control panel does not install, leaving you with no way to fine tune many things. But I'm a neophyte to W10, so maybe there is a workaround.
X301: SU9600 | 8GB | 1TB | WXGA+
X1C5: 7600U | 16GB | 1TB | FHD
X1C9: 1145G7 | 16GB | 1TB | WUXGA | WWAN
X1Y8: 1365U | 32GB | 1TB | WUXGA
P14s G1 AMD: 4750U | 32GB | 1TB | PG FHD Touch
T14 G2: 1145G7 | 32GB | 1TB | FHD
