Windows 8.1 was required to have UEFI v2.3.1 for Secure Boot, but this was an optional feature. In Windows 10 this is no longer optional.

So if this becomes reality, does that mean that Win10 won't be able to run on any Thinkpad older than the Tx20 generation? I was a little surprised to see this, as this closes the door for lots of capable hardware to upgrade to Win10.
Edit: After discussing this with another user, we made the conclusion this might be a requirement for vendors who will be selling new Win10 certified computers, and not for retail or upgrade versions. It will be interesting to see.
