Why do you feel so. I don't have a graphics card on my T60 at the moment, and it is doing the upgrade.

I keep getting a "the display manufacturer hasn't made your display compatible " message.

It seems strange that the ATI1400 is supported but not the 1300. I had to load the Vista driver to get a good video result but the stock Win10 loaded. You could always image your drive for recovery then try to install Win10 anyway if that is possible then use the Vista driver available on this forum

I have a spare Thinkpad R60 with the ATI radeon x1300.

Despite the warnings that my graphics card was incompatible, I decided to go ahead and upgrade from Win7 to Win10 anyway. It installed, and works.

The downside (yes, there is a downside) - is that the new OS installed the adapter using "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". It's functional, but settings can not be configured or adjusted at all.

Probably as good an outcome as I can expect. I don't anticipate that AMD will be releasing Windows 10 drivers for 8-9 year old hardware.

Re X1300 on T60 and a suitable driver on win10 - iminj and piggy, I'm using a driver I found on this forum link -
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=116415.
Down near the bottom of page 1 is a vista driver for the T60 and win 10 which I found performed only so so and would not load the Catalyst Control Centre. Reading the forum, it works for some and not for others. So I installed the next one mentioned on the same page which is a modified Catalyst 12.11 file and I have a fully functioning X1300 - here's the download link...
http://www.mediafire.com/download/3stqh ... V4+BETA.7z

I've turned off update notifications for it as it was modified by a forum member and I assume if you allow AMD to update it automatically you may lose the modifications to make it work on your T60.

Tried this. Win 10 downloaded but again won't install due to the system using a ATI mobility radeon x1300 video chip
