Eject the Microsoft ACPI compliant control method battery

Recently bought the T450 and upgraded to Windows 10. Even though Power Manager is not supported in Windows 10, I Installed the Windows 10 Power Manager driver and PM is running perfectly in Windows 7 compability mode, making me able to set battery charge threshold.

Now the "safely remove icon" in the system tray suddenly has appeared, displaying this option; "eject the Microsoft ACPI compliant control method battery".

Does that mean I can simply "eject" my removeable battery to perform a hot swap?

Welcome to the forum.
UNLESS you have two batteries, OR the charger is connected, you can NOT hot swap a battery.
Apart from that, do NOT believe everything Micro$haft says...

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yh, my T450 has an internal battery in addition to a removeable one.

Before, when hot swapping a battery using power management -- the pc went into sleep mode before I could remove it. Suddenly this is no longer necessary?
