Trackpoint Middle Scrolling - too much force? (T420s)

#1 Post by plympton » Mon Jan 04, 2016 1:53 pm

Does anyone have any tips for decreasing the force needed for trackpoint middle button scrolling in Windows 10? I have the latest Lenovo driver, and if I point the trackpoint sensitivity to about the middle (where I like it), the middle button scrolling requires way too much force to get a decent scroll on web pages now. Increase sensitivity, and it's better, but then the trackpoint is unusable.

Anyone?

Thanks!

Your only options would be:
A) trying a different driver (if you aren't on the latest one); Lenovo hasn't released an official generic TP driver for win10 that I'm aware of, so you may need to use the 'wrong' one for the latest T series.
B) trying a different FRU from a different keyboard manufacturer
C) switching to a different ThinkPad or Windows version

I haven't noticed a difference in TrackPoint sensitivity in Windows 10 on my T60s or T43s. But I did have (other) problems with it which is why I am not using it now.
