X220 Tablet Issues

#1 Post by ThorOfAsgard » Mon Jan 11, 2016 1:43 am

I've had a couple issues with Win10 on the X220t. Probably the most annoying is the ultranav. At the login screen, the mouse buttons will not highlight the login field. Touching the screen does nothing either. The only way to login is to connect an external mouse and then click on the login field.

Once I'm logged in, I have similar trouble with the ultranav mouse buttons. They simply won't function, even though I can move the pointer around. I found if I disable the touchpad, then the mouse buttons will work again (although my login screen problem remains the same). I've tried updating, changing, removing, etc the ultranav driver to no avail.

Another issue, although more rare, is the Windows 10 black screen on boot. No key combo seems to do anything, and I simply have to hard power off and restart. No idea what causes this.

Update:

I wiped out Win10 and put Win7 back on. Very time consuming process, but in any case, I noticed I started having trouble with my mouse buttons again after I installed the ultranav driver/utility. I removed them and went back to the standard ps/2 mouse driver, and things seem to work OK now. I'll update if I have problems again, at which point, I guess I'd have to assume it's a hardware issue. But for now, the problem seems to be with the ultranav driver.
