Today I "updated" it to Windows 10 and tried if I was able to do similar thing and...
If I put the T500 in Hibernate state it works and wakes, but if I totally shutdown it (S5), the Ethernet adapter light switches off and no way to wake it. I looked at the driver and everything is OK, the 3 options (allow for power management, allow for wake the system and allow Magic Packet) are marked, as they were in Windows 7.
The network adapter is the Intel 82567LM Gigabit. The driver version is 10.1.9.0. I downloaded a general driver from Intel, much recent, from this year, and it adds some more functions to the driver properties dialog, but the driver version remains the same one and the results is again the same. On Switch off, the Etehernet leds switch off and no way to wake the laptop.
I also downloaded and installed the "Enable Wake onLan feature for Energy Star", but no way.....
Any idea of why it used to work on Windows 7 and it doesn't on Windows 10? Of course, the O.S. is different, but as far as I know, it was supposed to work.
Thanks for any help.
Javier
