Bigger Battery Charge Status on Task Bar

#1 Post by euless » Sat Feb 12, 2022 7:08 am

Hi

The default Win-10 battery status is too small. So, I installed Lenovo Vantage. It gave me a nice big battery status, which is great!
And it automatically updated some drivers and the BIOS.

But I read Vantage has spyware. Do you use Vantage?

Thanks!

I use it on some laptops.

It is possible to install only the Battery Bar and remove Vantage, but it is a tad tricky to set up, and you don't get all the features of the Battery Bar without Vantage.

Install Commercial Vantage, which is much less bloated. It has no more or less spyware than a normal Windows install. The normal Vantage has much more spyware and adware.

I removed Vantage. But it didn't delete the Battery Bar. So, I am happy I have Battery Bar and no spyware. :)

But looks like my battery is not charging pass 80%. I guess I have to reinstall Vantage to change the battery threshold setting.
