Anyway we can know what lenovo thinks after the Retro project, do they think it was successful? Any chance they may develop a classic keyboard option for the P series which features 4K, three button touchpad, and HDD light which are features retro people would appreciate?

Down to $1,367.28 with perks now.

I guess Lenovo is clearing inventory.

Some real numbers on the speed of the machine:

t430s NVS 5200M:
Superposition Benchmark
Score: 1349

TP25 940MX:
Superposition Benchmark
Score: 3893

How does the W530 maxed out do?
940MX is a good card for a machine that size. Looks on par to K2000M (W530)

Vs. NVS 5200M not really a fair fight.

I just seen the ThinkPad 25 and was thinking and seeing a compare to the latest ThinkPads side by side in a review and really they just changed the keyboard with the old style T410/T420 keyboard and the some what IBM RGB colors in the ThinkPad logo. I thought it was going to be like the 14" standard non wide screen and very much like a latest tech T43. Pretty much I was wanting a T43/T60 with latest PC specs or a T23 non touchpad model. That to me would be the ThinkPad classic. But that's just my opinion.

Other then that is there a reason why it's $1800.00?

Its a brand new ThinkPad and its a very high-end config of the T470, which sells at the same price without coupons. Lenovo isn´t selling new machines at a loss.

It was never going to be that, because the people didn´t vote for that in the polls. And that would have probably cost way more than 3,000 $.

People didn't vote for a 16:9 aspect either...

As for $3K price no one - including both you and me - knows that *for a fact*. It could also be argued that given the limited availability of the system the price wouldn't have mattered all that much in the end.

None of this matters now. We got what we got, and are free to vote with our wallets.
