Sourcing the power button for my T25 mod

#1 Post by LouisDK » Tue Dec 26, 2023 3:08 pm

I'm in the process of converting a ThinkPad T470 into a ThinkPad 25 using this guide: https://www.xyte.ch/mods/t25-frankenpad/
So far everything has been worked out and all parts have been transferred to the new keyboard base and the keyboard has been put into place.
However the power button I've tried to take from a T420 and an X220 ( both Danish layout) are both harrow. Does anyone know which specific xx1/20 keyboard layouts that does not have a harrow power button? It is all US variants?

The only alternative to sourcing the proper X220/T420 power button would be to glue a rubber dome on the bottom on the one I have or to buy a top panel/power button spare spare - the latter being quite expensive.

You should have cut and glued the little rubber dome on the T420 keyboard from its side. The T420 keyboard has the rubber dome on the button's right, whereas T25 has it on the bottom center
