Cisco VPN Client Connection Issues With New T43

#1 Post by rs6869 » Thu Apr 07, 2005 12:11 am

First time ThinkPad user, and I'm having a little difficulty getting consistent results using "IBM Access Connections" with Cisico VPN Client software. I'm able to connect without any problems after 1st boot / logon. After that, everything seems to fall apart.

1. If I log off of my VPN, and try to reconnect during the same Windows session, the Cisco Client Connection Manager locks into a "attempting connection" mode and I am unable to cancel the connection attempt or even close the program.

2. Same thing happens if I log off the VPN and switch to another location profile.

To the best of my knowledge I've completed all the available software updates, including the new ThinkPad Software Installer and Windows updates. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Cisco VPN Software with no better results. I've done a quick forum search and have seen that most users have had pretty good results.

Any hints or suggestions?
