T43 and Nikon Capture

I just received my T43 today and trying to install Nikon Capture 4.13. The installation went fine. But I could not open the program. The computer froze. And crashed. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Couple things to try:
1. Unistall, re-install software - thru OS Control Panel
2. Check Nikon website for capture version update
3. Check website: dpreview.com an excellent resource for these issues. They have an OS section where you can do a specific source problem search.

I have Capture and other Nikon software and have encountered no problems. Hope this helps - Good Luck!

I just have my new X41. I have the same problem, Windows crashed with blue screen when I start Nikon Capture 4.1.3. I logged this problem to Nikon Support and see whether they can help.

I resolved the similar problem in my new X41. If the symptom is Windows crashed with a blue screen, the potential cause is the DEP (Data Execution Prevention). Windows XP SP2 has such feature. The user is allowed to alter the setting in Control Panel->System->Advanced->Performance Settings->Data Execution Prevention. At the same time, some computers come with this feature in BIOS, such X41. This feature can be disabled in BIOS. I can start Nikon Capture after I disable this feature in BIOS in X41. Hope it can help.
