Windows Xp missing a few things

#1 Post by burns334 » Tue Jun 12, 2012 9:26 pm

I came across a T60 with a fresh installation of Xp and it is missing 2 things that I noticed. When turning the volume up or down the graduated thermometer does not appear on the screen but the volume does go up and down and the blue Thinkpad button gets no response when pressed. Anyone no what I need to install to make these work?

TIA burns

This will get the hotkeys and on-screen display working:

And this should take care of the ThinkPad button:

IMO, you don't really need the second one. I have never found a use for it, just more bloatware.

Thanks Hunter, I think you are right about the Thinkpad key but was really curious.
