Not a thinkpad question but here goes. My friend is setting up a CNC Bridgeport milling machine that is controlled by a Dell running Xp at SP3. The compute and Bridgeport operate normally and every now and then it locks up, when looking at CPU usage it has spiked from the 50-60 usage range to 100% and stays there. At the same time the X, Y and Z axis zeros change to other values. When the computer is rebooted it takes 8-10 minutes to get up and running again. What do you guys think, computer, s/w, cpu, ram?
