I am trying to recover the backup files from my USB drive that were created with IBM Rescue and Recovery™ with Rapid Restore (version 4). Unfortunately, the USB drive is corrupted so that the operating system cannot read the drive and I don't have the hardware right now to get the information relating to the following questions. The directories containing the backup program files and the backup files are protected by a "filter driver" (as stated in the deployment and customization guide).
How does this protection work?
Are the backup directories on the USB drive also protected in this manner?
The backup software creates numbered files when doing the backup. What is the 3 character extension of the backup files?
