LAN problems with XP

#1 Post by Cecilia76 » Fri May 20, 2005 2:47 am

Hallo,

in my T42p I configured the LAN as "advanced mode" when I installed the OS. Now I can use the LAN from the t42p to other machines but I can browse the t42p from other machines.
Any suggestions?

I assume you mean you can't browse the T42 from the other machines on your network? Do you have sharing turned on on the T42? Or you can manually change the XP firewall (and others) to allow the connection i.e. mapping the drives etc.

Thank you for your reply.

Well, actually I turned on sharing on the T42p and I shared some folders. The XP firewall should be fine: how can I verify that?

Thanks again, Cec
