Rescue & Recovery

#1 Post by ranjit » Tue May 24, 2005 8:33 am

Hi All,

I was wondering if ne1 of you have tried dowloading and using the "new" Rescue and Recovery v2.04.0182 software? What are the main differences between this and version 2.02.0178?

Thank you.

Cheers,
Ranjit

I already installed the 2.04.0182 version as an update to 2.02.0178. It worked flawless, no problem at all. No need to uninstall the prior R&R version first (what the web site tells you).

If you use IBM CSS and Utimaco Safeguard Easy 4.1: read the Safeguard Easy help, after installation of the update and before clicking the Finish-button you have to execute two Utimaco .exe files! Otherwise you are not able to boot into the rescue environment anymore.

There is no changelog, so I really don't know the difference to 2.02.0178, perhaps just bugfixing. I haven't discovered any new features yet.
