Third party PCMCIA CD Drive Problems

#1 Post by Mildred_iii » Fri May 07, 2004 11:02 am

Please Help!!!

I have an old Thinkpad (2609-62G) and I need to reinstall the operating system (2000 Pro). The problem I have is that I am using an Archos Minicd PCMCIA drive, and it is not supported by the lame recovery bootdisk.

If I boot off the floppy drive then it will come up with either the IBM PCMCIA option, or the Panasonic PCMCIA option... Neither work!!! As neither support the Minicd device, the recovery CD wont work!!

Any ideas???

Download the Archos pcmcia driver:

If prompted for username and password, use "drivers" and "all" respectively
