XP Start menu "Access Thinkpad" icon

#1 Post by dsvochak » Sun Jul 17, 2005 11:58 am

I just bought another T23 with W2K preinstalled. I did a clean XP Pro install.

On the start menu there is an "Access Thinkpad" icon directly to right of "All Programs". I know there's a way to get rid of that icon, but it's been a long time since I've done this and I've simply forgotten how to do it.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

"Problem" solved.

Run regedit and navigate to "HKey_Classes_Root\CLSID\{2559a1f6-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0}\Instance\InitPropertyBag" and delete the "Param1" key in the right panel. You can also find "Access Thinkpad" in regedit and keep "finding next" until you reach this key.
