Microsoft office / Office programs

#1 Post by Nomad-Man » Fri Jul 22, 2005 9:08 am

Hey will MicroOffice 2000 work on XP.

Is there much improvement between office 03 and 00 version

Are there any other office type programs that will coexist with microoffice 2000. Without having to spend 250.00 but also so I dont have problems running the files on either my office computer which has 2000 and my laptop which is yet to get a office program. I dont want to have to worry about the formating getting changed or having to save to a different file type can of stuff.

I found a copy of office 2000 for 135.00 but it says its OEM and it also says this... The Certificate of Authenticity provides “PROOF OF LICENSE” for the product you are purchasing and or using. The COA itself does not constitute a license. The actual license for OEM products can be found in a file which is loaded on your computer system during installation called eula.txt. You should print and keep this document on file.

I dont get it. They say "Does not constitute a license".. next breath "the actual license is on file"
T43 .. First Thinkpad...Ordered 06/07/05...Received 06/21/05
Lovin' it

OEM licenses are usually separate from the install CD. If you don't have the OEM key, then you can't install it. Otherwise, Office 2000 should work on XP without difficulty. ... JD Hurst
