Wireless driver "runtime error R6025 - pure function...

#1 Post by K. Eng » Sun Jul 24, 2005 10:24 pm

Yet another gripe with my wireless drivers... (4.0.100.140 for IBM a/b/g)

Sometimes I get the following dialog window:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Progra~1\ThinkPad\CONNEC~1\QCTRAY.exe
R6025
- pure virtual function call

Now I can hit OK to close the window, and the wireless driver works fine after that, but it is somewhat annoying to see this window sometimes.

Does anyone else see this? Any way to fix it?
Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!

I read your post yesterday, then this morning I spotted the following while looking into something else. This owner had a T40 with wireless problems. While directing that person to a Lenovo page to view a text file there, I saw that your error with QCTRAY can occur if you are using the wrong driver. In this case it was for an INTEL PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter. There are different drivers used, depending upon the OS. For your information, QCTRAY is the tray application for Access Connections.

Read the top section of this page to see what I saw re: QCTRAY.
