I have a 3com Xjack wireless B pc card with my T23. The windows wireless program sucks, and the 3com one is even worse! So I figured I would try the IBM one, however everytime I try to set up a profile windows states:
"IBM Access Connections has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Is IBM access connections only for IBM adapters? if so, anyone using the 3com xjack have a good program that I can use with it?
My xjack card is 3com 3CRWE62092A
Access connections keeps getting error when setting up

Re: Access connections keeps getting error when setting up
It seems that IBM Access Connections is tied in with the drivers that you download from IBM/Lenovo's web site.jongordo8 wrote:Is IBM access connections only for IBM adapters? if so, anyone using the 3com xjack have a good program that I can use with it?

I have a T42 with the factory installed Intel 2200bg wireless adapter. Once I downloaded updated drivers from Intel's website, but Access Connections would not work. I had to use Intel's connection program at the time. Later I downloaded newer drivers and Access Connections from IBM's site, and everything worked well together. If you read the text files for the drivers, you will see that they require a certain version of Access Connections. See copy from Intel driver text file below:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IBM ThinkPad March 30, 2005
Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG, 2915ABG Network Connection Software
Version 9.0.1.21 - 1YWC25WW
======================================================================
This package provides the Wireless LAN driver for
"Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection" and
"Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection"
for Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
Attention!
----------
If you use IBM Access Connections, it must be updated to ver 3.71
or later.

Need a good wireless client for 3com Xjack card
So I guess I can't use the IBM access connections with my nonIBM card (or at least was never offered from IBM) which is a 3com xjack card.
Can someone recommend a good wireless client for use with 3com Xjack card.
