Shared Documents v. Documents and loss of files

x40 w/XP Professional:
Any suggestions re: I just realized that my "Shared Documents" folder is now just a "Documents" folder and says access denied. I keep all my photos and music in there and can't access them. Not sure if it's a hardware or softward prob. I restored to a date prior to the last time I viewed pics. Any suggestions?

Although the following tip is for deleting files and folders, you can use it just to regain access and control. Read my tip here:
