"Lenovo Thinkpad PM Device" in Windows Update

I ran Windows Update thru XP SP2 a couple days ago and there were no updates. Then today, I run it again and other the "Other Hardware" section, there's a small ~574k download titled "Lenovo Thinkpad PM Device". It doesn't say what it is, except it was released today.

Any idea as to what this is? I ran the IBM/Lenovo Software Installer just before running Windows Update & it didn't pick up anything.

I went a head & installed it, but haven't noticed anything different (good or bad).
