desperatly need help on unknown device

i just did a recovery from my recovery cd's on my T42 because i messed up my recovery partition and now i have a mystery piece of hardware in device manager. windows doesnt know what it is and neither do i, can anyone please help me? :cry:

also, my ibm update connector doesnt work! i provided a screen shot for both the unknown device and update connector below

a missing "IBM power Management driver" usually causes this. Have seen it ... well, every time, I re-installed my laptop(s)

Find the driver for your model, - and see what happens...

Yeah, I guess that's the ACPI Power Management driver. Give it a try. I just wonder how did the Recovery CD miss it?

well, i did another recovery and now its just fine, no more missing driver. very weird, but oh well.

and btw, its very weird that ibm's update connector would be down for so long, they should get on that.
