what program is missing?

Hi guys,
I just was living with a hard drive in the ultrabay of my T42. I could swap the DVD drive and the hard drive whenever, however windows does not recognize now the new drive when I do a hot swap. Do you know what's going on?

Are you using the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the tasktray to remove the hard drive, and the DVD drive? You need to do this unless you set up the EasyEject Utility with a hot key.

Hi GomJabbar,
the Safely Remove Hardware icon has disappeard! that's what I was missing.
The EasyEject Utility has result up to know useles...

Right click on an open space on the taskbar, choose Properties, then on the Taskbar tab choose Customize..., then find the 'Safely Remove Hardware' entry and left click on it, and under Behavior choose Always show. If you don't see the Safely Remove Hardware icon, then choose to Restore Defaults.
