Urgent advice required: X22 weird Windows XP problem

#1 Post by larryleung » Wed Aug 31, 2005 5:44 pm

Hi,

I bought a X22 with a 20 Gb hard drive off eBay. Everything is in great condition and the hard drive came clean. However, when I try to install Windows XP during the select partition screen. I can only see 4028Mb of unpartitioned hard drive ?!!? Any attempt to partition it fails ?

I have taken out the hard drive and placed it into another laptop and the whole 20Gb is shown during a Windows XP install.

Is there additional drivers I need to install at the start of the Windows XP install process ? Is this a problem with the X22 IDE bus ? How can I check ?

Many thanks !

Larry

Try updating the BIOS.
