Quick question re: using recovery CDs

When I use the set of 6 recovery CDs on a new HDD for my X40, will it set it up in the same way as it came from the factory (i.e., a FAT32 recov partition and the normal C: NTFS)? I'm thinking the answer is yes, but wanted to check.
