Can factory restore discs be made from a recovery partition?

#1 Post by Ragueneau » Fri Sep 02, 2005 10:48 am

As a corollary to my other thread, my restore partition is seemingly done for and I think I'm going to want to restore factory defaults.

I really don't feel like paying Lenovo $40 for a restore disc set, is there any way I can make a set of restore discs off of another fully functional thinkpad? If so, would making discs from a T42/p cause any problems with my T41?

Yes, you can use T42 CDs for T41, you might need to install other drivers afterwards.

Only the T42+ models allow the creation of your own recovery CDs- not the fomer t41 model.
