Dumb safe mode

How do I get to the safe mode on my T43? i could have sworn you had to press F7 or wsa it F8. Anyway I pressed both during startup and I got nothing

You press F8 at the beginning of the boot sequence. I keep pressing it about once a second until I get the Safe Mode menu screen. On some computers, I could only access Safe Mode from power up, not from restart.

If you can't access safe mode using the F8 key here is another easy way.

Type msconfig in the Run box (Start menu) it will bring up the System Configuration Utiltity.

In the BOOT.INI tab, check the /SAFEBOOT in the Boot Options.

Restart your computer it will boot to safe mode. Once you are done with what you are trying to do. Do the process one more time but this time uncheck it and reboot your system.

Easy huh :D
