Easiest would be to buy a usb cdrom drive and set the bios to boot on usb device.

That, I am not sure which external CD. I just remember you can set the boot sequence in the bios so it boots to usb attached devices. I would definitely try a usb2.0 capable first.

You could try a network install. I'm not really sure how that works though.

Firstly, you should copy the folder i386 to the other partition.
Secondly, You ought to install Vfloppy(search google if you donnot know what it is).
Then boot to DOS, format c partition.
And then you can install os^_^, but you should remember load smartdrv.exe first.

Hi..

Do you mean that I should replace the i386 folder in the "backup" partition.. With the i386 folder from the eng version of XP CD..?? or is there a i386 folder in the backup partition..?? But if I can boot with the external CD I buy.. Can I just make one partition and skip the backup.. Or is there a lot of good necessary program in the backup..??

tried to find info in Vfloppy.. but couldn't find any..

Hi!
If you can boot with CD, of course you can make one partition and skip the backup. You needn't replace the folder i386 in the 'backup' partition.
