quick launch disappears on T42P

something weird happens with my t42p when it first starts up. my quick launch menu is no longer there at startup. apparently this is a common problem but i wasn't able to find a solution even after using search. if anyone has an answer i would really appreciate it.

Unless you are having an unusual problem, what you do is right-click on the Taskbar, choose Properties, then make sure that the 'Show Quick Launch' box is checked.

It is somehow connected with Sound Max. Whenever the process friezes when turning off, the quick launch disappears when windows starts. It happens to me at least couple of times a month but I haven't been able to figure out why yet.
